Individual Trail

Courtenay-Alberni / Port Alberni

90 min driving from Downtown Port Alberni

The Beverly Express is a newly placed route bringing hikers up around Beverly Lake and up to the Beverly Peaks. Throughout this hike you will be rewarded with incredible panoramic views. Starting your hike along an old logging road towards the trailhead, this will bring you up into a creek bed full of large boulders to navigate across. Small amounts of water may or may not be present so careful footing is needed as some rocks may be slippery. A short distance past the boulders you will come across blue and pink flagging to the right heading into the forest and marking the route. You will reach the top of a ridge that also connects 5040 over to Nahmint Mountain, once past the hike can become quite slippery when wet, but relatively easy when dry. From here you get stunning views of Beverly Lake. Hike down along the shoreline of Beverly Lake up towards the Peak. Beyond this are steep cliffs and low angle rock heading straight up to the Peaks.

GPS Notes
Most often when viewing our maps, trails marked in Green or Blue have been human-verified by our volunteers. A route in purple indicates an overgrown trail or a bushwhack. Otherwise, the tracks may have been satellite traced or imported from third party sources. While we strongly believe our GPS are accurate, please be aware that no logging system is perfect and to be aware of potential errors.
